Mirabelle in Double Trouble by Harriet Muncaster

Synopsis

Mirabelle is going on holiday with her family to a fancy witch resort and she can't wait!

She has promised her parents that she will absolutely not get up to mischief this time. And she really means it too. The witch resort is everything Mirabelle had hoped for, and more! Better yet, she makes a new friend called Bea.

Then Mirabelle makes a worrying discovery-Bea is even more mischievous than Mirabelle, and she quickly finds herself in a whole heap of trouble . . . especially when a dragon gets involved!

Will Mirabelle's family believe that Mirabelle is (mostly) innocent this time or is it just a case of double the trouble?

Reviews

'An adorable story that will speak to every child with a naughty side as well as a nice one - and the nail-biting excitement is perfect for younger readers beginning to explore chapter books and read independently.' BookTrust

'Meet Mirabelle, half fairy, half witch, totally lovable and likely to be just as appealing to young readers as her very popular little cousin Isadora Moon, also created by Harriet Muncaster. [ . . . ] There's lots to like and children are endlessly fascinated by characters who struggle with the rules. They'll appreciate Mirabelle's lively first-person narrative style too and the cool black and purple illustrations.' Books for Keeps

'Clever, imaginative, funny and positively fizzing with potions and broomsticks, Mirabelle's misadventures always leave youngsters eager for more!' Lancashire Post
